EvisionRx, a pharmacy benefit manager, is moving its headquarters from downtown Fort Lauderdale to North Fort Lauderdale.

The company, a subsidiary of the Rite Aid drugstore chain, has leased more than 23,000 square feet in the BayView Corporate Tower at 6451 N. Federal Highway, according to the Cushman & Wakefield, which negotiated the deal on behalf of landlord New Boston Fund.

EnvisionRx expects to move its 100 employees to the new digs in October, according to Jeff Holding, an executive director at Cushman. The pharmacy company currently has more than 30,000 square feet at 1301 E. Broward Blvd.

Holding said EnvisionRx will realize significant rent savings by taking less space and moving out of downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Rent in the most prestigious downtown office buildings averages $46.36 a square foot, up about 9 percent from a year ago, according to Cushman & Wakefield figures. Holding said downtown rental rates are rising due to high demand and limited supply.
