Plantation-based perfume company AB Diversified Industries wants to build a new headquarters.

On Tuesday, the city’s Development Review Committee will consider the proposal of 6801 W Sunrise Blvd LLC, managed by AB Diversified Principal Arvinder Bajaj, for a 103,901-square-foot facility. The plan would require city commission approval at a later time.

The company acquired the 52,000-square-foot building formerly occupied by Sear’s for $2.6 million in 2014. The six-acre site would be cleared for development.

According to plans submitted by architect Robert I. Hall of ALC Building Consultants, the new facility would have a two-story building of 18,108 square feet for office space, with 1,980 square feet of that reserved for retail, and an 85,793-square-foot warehouse with 12 shipping doors.

AB Diversified executive assistant Mindy Lee said the company would move into the new building from its current facilities nearby at 6825 W. Sunrise Blvd. The facility would be roughly the same size but it would be laid out more efficiently for the business, especially for its online retailing.

AB Diversified has about 200 brands that it manufactures or sources from third parties and distributes. One of its main websites is www.fekkai.com.
