The Fort Lauderdale Commission on Tuesday will consider $10,000 in economic incentives to entice an undisclosed aircraft leasing company to move to the city.

The company, dubbed “Project Horizon”, plans to add 10 jobs at an average annual salary of $51,266, according to the Sun Sentinel.

The city incentive would be 20 percent of a total $50,000 incentive package from the state, based on confirmed job creation and more than $394,000 in leased space, renovations and office equipment over two years. The incentives are given in the form of tax refunds.

The incentives would help the city compete with states including Texas and Georgia.
